The great advantage of these new EMC filters for our customers is that they can be easily mounted on standard DIN rails thanks to their space-saving design, which makes installation time-saving and uncomplicated. In addition, interested (new) customers can view this new component and many other of our products at our stand at the EMC trade fair from March 25 – 27, 2025 in Stuttgart (BKT with exhibition stand at EMV 2025 in Stuttgart – Brandenburgische Kondensatoren GmbH) and talk directly to our team there.

One customer contacted us with his need of an EMI filter that can conduct high currents and has a high attenuation at the same time. This inquiry presented us with a challenge at first, as we had only few high current filters in our product range so far. But we took up this new task and, in close consultation, developed a three-phase high current filter with high attenuation in the differential mode. At this, the customer could benefit from the fact that we realise the whole development process from simulation to prototype construction to initial sample testing at our premises. Thus, he received his finished, newly developed product that passed all tests and completely met the customer’s requirements after a development and testing time of only five weeks in total.

In this case, the customer could inform us in advance about the extent of the occurring common-mode and differential-mode interferences that needed to be attenuated. However, if required, we can take on these tests and conduct them ourselves as our premises in Prenzlau are equipped with the latest measuring devices to measure electromagnetic interferences. Like this, we can reduce development times even more.

The optimized filter FA1-2-04-4C1-P10-PK for circuit board assembly offers a space saving of more than 30 % on the circuit board compared to a separate assembly of all components contained therein. Its pin-layout in grid dimension makes a simple and time-saving installation directly on the circuit board possible.

Our product novelty is broadly applicable and therefore qualified for numerous manufacturing processes independent of the required application: Manual soldering as well as wave soldering as well as selective soldering of the filter on the circuit board is feasible. Additionally, the filter can be screwed onto the circuit board thanks to its fixing lugs, so that it is eminently suitable for usage in vibration-prone devices.

The high permeable chokes inserted in the filter make high inductances possible in smallest installation space and, therefore, offer an improved attenuation of asymmetrical interferences. Needless to say that, like all our products, this filter can be customized according to our customers’ requirements thanks to its modular design.
