Our participation in the EMC Industry Seminar at Otto von Guericke University in Magdeburg was once again a resounding success this year. We were able to present our products and latest developments to those interested in EMC and hold numerous fruitful discussions. Our product manager and head of development, Mr Kuschel, also gave a successful presentation on the topic of “Filter design in practice – from pre-compliance testing to practical solutions”, providing the audience with practical guidance.

No sooner had he returned from Magdeburg than our managing director, Dr. Fürstmann, sets off for Munich for the next trade fair. There, he once again hopes to engage with an expert audience and present our innovative solutions for the diverse challenges of EMC to visitors at productronica. We are looking forward to an exciting event, constructive discussions and further expanding our big network with new contacts.

In addition to our role as exhibitors, our CEO, Dr. Paul Fürstmann, and our development and product manager, Daniel Kuschel, will give a presentation on the topic of “Filter design in practice – from pre-compliance testing to practical solutions.” We are already looking forward to this exciting seminar, which is highly regarded among experts, and cordially invite our customers to attend the event and talk to our team at our booth.

During the four-day workshop, the participants discussed new measurement techniques and test methods, improvements in measurement uncertainty and repeatability as well as innovative approaches to near-field, time-domain and ESD measurements. The focus was also on magnetic cleanliness – with contributions on modelling, shielding and eddy current effects, which are playing an increasingly important role in sensitive space environments. A particular focus was on the challenges posed by new technologies: small satellites, electric aircraft, UAVs require new strategies in EMC design. Developments in the field of numerical modelling and simulation were also highlighted, particularly with regard to coupling paths, time and frequency domain analyses and the use of artificial intelligence for fault diagnosis and data interpretation. Aspects such as electrostatic charging, lightning protection, biological effects of electromagnetic fields and RF compatibility were not neglected either.

Standards, interface management and EMC-compliant design methods were also discussed in depth. The exchange on diagnostic strategies and fault scenarios in system operation was particularly practical, highlighting the importance of end-to-end EMC management from planning to qualification. This is precisely what BKT already offers its customers in other business areas: From measurement to development and prototype construction to series production, we take on all tasks in the field of EMC as a service provider.

In addition to the packed program, the workshop offered plenty of space for personal discussions, networking and exchanging experiences – with the best weather, Andalusian flair and culinary highlights. The ESA Workshop 2025 showed how much technological excellence and open collaboration belong together. We can look back on a successful event with plenty of inspiration and would like to thank ESA for the excellent organization.

The EMV in Stuttgart, where everything revolves around electromagnetic compatibility, was the ideal event for us to exchange ideas with EMC experts about current technical developments, to discuss new trends in the EMC sector and to present our appropriate solutions for the various EMC problems.

Our stand, which could only show a part of our broad product range, was well attended by trade visitors, especially by developers. We were very pleased with the great interest shown in our diverse range of samples, the many constructive discussions and the positive feedback. The numerous contacts made at the EMV trade fair in Stuttgart will certainly lead to promising opportunities for successful cooperation with many new partners.

The EMC industrial seminar that is organised by the professional chair of electromagnetic compatibility of the university Otto-von-Guericke in Magdeburg every year, took place for the 21. time this year already. It was the ideal event for us to exchange on current technical developments and on the latest trends of the branch with EMC-enthusiasts and to present our individualised solutions for the various EMI problems.

At our exhibition stand, where only a part of our broad range of products could be exhibited, was well-frequented by trade visitors. We were delighted at the many constructive conversations and the positive feedback, and we are certain that new business relationships will result from the contacts established on the industrial seminar.
